Our commitment to the environment.
Why aren't we humans taking care of nature? We're nature taking care of itself!
We are committed to the planet and its natural resources. We believe that we are not simply human beings caring for nature, but rather nature caring for itself. Acknowledging the impact we can have on ecosystems, we take responsibility and strengthen our commitment to their long-term sustainability.
Our goal is not only to eliminate negative impacts but to create a positive one on the environment, its health, and its biodiversity. We prioritize circular economy practices, responsible waste management, energy efficiency, sustainable water use, and the adoption of clean energy. In addition, we’ve established recycling programs and are committed to drastically reducing our carbon emissions. Today, we have proudly achieved carbon neutrality. The future is in our hands, and the time to act is now.
We have strategic alliances with foundations and organizations that care for ecosystems, biodiversity, forest restoration, rivers and marine life, as well as awareness and knowledge campaigns.
Statement of Commitment
We believe in business as a driving force for good. We measure our success not only by profitability, but by how we help people and the planet. We know that to grow successfully, we must act correctly and consistently in order to drive positive transformation.
Through our Social Commitment and Human Rights Policy at Cosméticos Trujillo we ratify our determination to implement responsible business conduct in line with the highest international standards and guidelines on best practices related to the environment, labor relations, ethics and sustainable procurement. Furthermore, as a central axis of all our activities in the value chain, we commit to respect and protect human rights, to not tolerate discrimination, forced labor, child labor, harassment and abuse, or any other human rights violation, as well as to remediate any human rights violation and avoid complicity[1] with third parties, demonstrating our commitment to the development of a more inclusive economy, progress, social equity and environmental protection.
[1] According to the definition of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the word “complicity” is not only limited to the legal definition of the term related to the commission of crimes, but also to the obtaining of benefits by the company as a result of the violation of a right committed by a third party.
